Governance of the YBDTP is managed via two committees – the Management Group and the Strategic Advisory Board. Our Management Board (MAB) consist of representatives from all eight partner Universities as well as YBDTP Student reps, whilst our Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) is made of industry experts.

The DTP Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) consists of representatives from Industry, key stakeholders and other DTPs. The SAB is not a scientific advisory board and does not have formal oversight of the DTP Management Board. The SAB acts as a ‘critical friend’ to the DTP. The board currently consists of:

Dr. Jillian Barlow
Generation Research
Dr. Andy Merritt
LifeArc
Professor Rick Mumford
Food Standards Agency
Bernadette Moore – University of Liverpool
Suzanne Gibson – AstraZeneca

The SAB attends the DTP Annual General Meeting each summer to run training and networking sessions for the students. The AGM also provides the backdrop for the joint SAB-MAB meeting to discuss the current state of play of the DTP and plans moving forward.
